In this set of three, my bowl is 3.5 X 4.5, the plate is 4.5wide, and the cup is 3 X 2.5. I decided to make a bowl, a plate, and a cup for my set of three because I wanted to bowl to be able to hold soup, the cup to hold juice, and the plate to hold the crackers. All three have the same design on them, even when throwing the plate, I pressed down with my finger to create spirals in the clay. I really like the design of the swirls because they all look very uniform. The only thing that I wish I did differently was to give the plate a bigger lip, I forgot that the clay shrinks in the kiln and now the plate has no lip to hold the food onto it. Next time I will make a plate with a big enough lip so that when it comes out of the kiln it will be the perfect size.

This wheel altered project is 5 X 7 inches. This project was originally a round bowl that I pinched on four sides to give a square shape. I used three glazes to make the bowl look more complicated. The shape is very simple and does not have any designs on it, so I thought that by adding three glazes, it would attract the eye better and would give the bowl more personality. I like that the shape is not symmetrical and that each side is different than the other three. I was disappointed that the blue glaze ran more than the yellow or rust and there are a few spots on one side of the bowl that there is no glaze because the blue ran down the side so much.
